I built this reed box for my saxophone instructor. It is made from curly maple, bocote and purple heart with a green velvet lining. It is very slender and slides open.
I guess most retired old duffers like myself like woodworking. They make wooden trains for their grandkids and turn wooden bowls for their friends. While I like to do the same things, I like to be adventurous with my woodworking, trying to make things that are a little unusual. I will present here some of my strange concoctions that you might find interesting. I have found that my bowmaking has made me a better craftsman, and I enjoy using the beautiful woods to make attractive, useful items.
Dan's bows can now be purchased through the site Primitive Pathways.
